To truly comprehend the size and capacity of these trucks, let’s take a closer look at the five biggest mining trucks out there.

The fifth largest truck is the Komatsu 960E-2K. It spans nearly 42 feet, is over 25-feet (7m) tall, and its nominal payload is a whopping 360 tons. Its engine can produce 3,500 horsepower. The Komatsu Drive is a unique system that has improved torque capacity and allows for a speed of up to 40 mph.

Next up is the Liebherr T 284, which was considered the largest mining truck in the world when it was introduced in 2012. Today, it is the lightest (lowest capacity vehicle weight) and most capable (highest payload) ultra-class mining truck, as it can haul up to 413 tons. The truck itself spans 51.4 feet (15.69m) and is 31.4-feet wide (9.679m), with a loading height of 24 feet (7.42m).

Overall, it sits at 48.85-feet (14.8m) tall and is 51.87-feet (15.8m) long. It is famous for delivering the highest standard payload available in its size class.

Construction Crane Truck As for the biggest of all mining trucks, the title is awarded to the mighty BelAZ 75710. This truck is 65-feet (20m) long, 32-feet (10m) wide, and 26-feet (8m) tall. Empty, it weighs 400 tons, full, it can carry up to 500 tons. It uses 32 cylinders that are powered by two V-16, 2330-HP engines, offering it a total of 4,660 horsepower.
