The Rock unveiled a brand new WWE championship belt design in the latest edition of Monday Night Raw.

The Rock cited an homage to the greats of the sport that have come before him as a reason for making the change.
The belt features a more traditional look and is a significant change from the "bling-bling" design of the “Spinner” belt John Cena brought into commission in 2005. But it isn’t absent of The Rock’s personality and flair, as it also features an emblazoned gold Brahma Bull on the right corner strap.
The Rock’s belt might be considered a breath of fresh air for those who wanted to see a change for the promotion’s biggest prize.
Following the announcement, The Rock switched gears and talked about his upcoming title defense at WrestleMania 29. He was about to announce who he would prefer to face at the year's biggest pay-per-view, but was interrupted before getting the chance.
Top challenger John Cena, who won the No. 1 contender rights after conquering the Royal Rumble battle royale in January, decided to take the opportunity to state his case.
